DSC! I'm still lost. I still don't know what I want. Three years ago, I thought it would be an achievement if I get a degree. It was my goal... I worked my ass to get one, but when I hit the "goal achieved!" button, I suddenly felt like the last 36 months was a waste. :(

Help?

Wisdom of Bugs Bunny
Thursday, October 26, 2006

Bugs Bunny said, "I like dead end signs...I think they're kind. They atleast have the decency to let you know you're going nowhere..."

...Unlike some men, companies, or phases we go through in life. High school seems like such a long time ago. I walked through college practically in a daze the whole time, and have been slaving for 6 years, now with my 3rd master, Nestle. When did life end and work start? I don't remember anymore. For the past few years the song of my life was "Everyday is a winding road". Why? Because I didn't know what the dead end sign looked like, damn it! Now I know, I'm moving on to the next track..."A change would do you good"!

The thing with finding yourself in a dead end, you realize you're heading nowhere but it's just so hard to turn around and start again...

The Burt Bacharach Experience...

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'
So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'
But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

-Burt Bacharach

Portrait of a FRIEND
Monday, October 23, 2006
I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts,
or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we will
search for answers.

I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can't keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,
and help you when you ask.

I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.

I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow,
room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.

I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.

Road trip, anyone?

Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today. -- James Dean

I opened a newsletter from an indian website and saw this rather touching qoute. I never even knew that indians had heard of James Dean, and they publish qoutations from famous movie stars, too. Yipee, now I know that there's more to their curry.

How long have we been planning on going on a road trip again? You know, the kind wherein we only have a few hundred bucks in our wallet, no destination and no extra pair of panties. It's like our worlds now revolve around working to make money. Which by the way, we don't spend on things we want and need, only to pay bills. Way, way back we had no money but still found time to have fun and get together. Now that we have money to spend, we can't find time to see each other as often. What is happening to the world? I guess, that's what they call "growing up".

The blue notebook
Saturday, October 21, 2006
Hi, honeys. I found our old notebook (our primitive blog hehe) in a box with Fran's old love letters. I didn't find the letters interesting, and I'm still deciding whether to throw them away or keep them as souvenirs. But when I read the entries we made, I was literally crying with laughter. Ang babaw natin grabe! We talked about boys a lot. Didn't we have anything more important to talk about that time? I hate to admit it, but we were pathetic. Our lives revolved around finding Mr. Right and always landing flat on our faces.

Times have changed nga ba? Because we still talk about men. I hate the fact that after more than 9 years, we're still searching for ways to extinguish all traces of male dominance in our lives.

Cheers to the bastards who broke our hearts, the morons whose hearts we broke, and the lucky blokes we'll end up marrying!

Excuse the language harharhar

A New Beginning for DSC
DSC was started way back in highschool. When all we did in school was bitch about life, love and men. We still do it, every chance we get. It's fun, in a scary kind of way. I mean, if all we can see in our lives is how failed and miserable we are, then there is really something terribly wrong with us. But hey, we've all changed since our days in Assumption. We are now grown women, with so much more to bitch about. So let's start.
